If you’re heading along to a Rock and Roll themed pizza restaurant you can expect to be denied peace and quiet while eating your dinner, but diners in a California restaurant got an unexpected surprise on Monday night when the Foo Fighters showed up and belted out over 20 of their best-known tracks.

Dave Grohl and his bandmates played a set of 23 songs in front of a small gathering at the 200-capacity restaurant in Moorpark California, as they looked to shake off the cobwebs ahead of their first gig in over a year in Mexico City this Friday.

According to reports, the Foos didn’t debut any new songs but treated the audience to classics such as ‘All My Life,’ ‘Learn to Fly,’ ‘The Pretender’ ‘Times Like These’ and ‘Everlong’ in what was their first performance since the Global Festival in New York in September of last year.

Judging by the performance in the video above, there was little sign of (c)rustiness on behalf of the Foos, who laid down a solid base on Monday night and will dip into their experience to add the extra toppings necessary between now and Friday night’s gig *JOE apologises for the extra cheese in that last paragraph*.
