Video: The ‘Shpastic Weather’ song should brighten up your day

Here’s a great little ditty about the ‘Shpastic Weather’ we have here in Ireland. It will do wonders to brighten up your day.

We can all agree that the weather here in Ireland is pretty shpastic. One minute the sun is splitting the stones, then it’s absolutely pouring rain and you’ll probably get a bit of snow by teatime too – even though it’s summer.

So the Irish four piece, Strange Attractor, decided to write a song about the one thing every Irish person loves to moan about. The Shpastic Weather…

The lads involved are Maitias Barker (vocals, ukulele) Fionn O’Neill (guitar), Cian O’Sullivan (drums) and Ben Janning (bass). Here’s what it says on YouTube: “A song written while shteamed in a tent, about the shtate of the weather.”

Here’s a little bit about the band courtesy of Mark Geary: “Strange Attractor are a Funk/Reggae band from Dingle, Co. Kerry. The band got together to play some groovy music twice a week during this Summer in Dingle. They are currently recording their E.P. and plan on playing more around Ireland soon.

“The youtube video ‘Shpastic Weather’ was written at Sea Sessions music festival when the weather was dismal, just for the laugh, but when the band were in the studio, they had some free time and thought it would be funny to do a live take.”

You can check more of their music out over on Facebook and we wish the lads the best of luck in the future. They might need it after opening up that umbrella inside…

Big thanks to Mark Geary for sending us the video via Facebook
