Wow.
News of the death of Prince at the age of 57 came as a huge shock to the music world on Thursday night.
His loss was keenly felt in his home city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where thousands of people turned out in a public display of mourning for the musician after his death was confirmed.
Buildings and public landmarks turned purple in Prince’s memory, while a huge block party took place on First Avenue, where thousands of people turned up to sing and dance in what was a pretty fitting tribute.
