In Rod we trust.

Golden oldie Rod Stewart has added a fresh date to his slate of Irish dates this year.

Stewart played at Cork’s Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night and delivered a very classy move by blowing up a tribute to former Ireland and Celtic footballer Liam Miller on the big screen.

He also smashed a performance of the Irish folk song ‘Grace,’ about the wedding of Declaration of Independence signatory Joseph Mary Plunkett’s wedding with Grace Gifford. The performance was complete with photos of Irish freedom fighters, the declaration itself and the panopticon floor of Kilmainham Gaol on the monitor. Hugh McMonagle was on hand to capture the performance and send it in.

It was announced today (26 May) that “due to phenomenal demand”, Rod Stewart will play an extra date at 3Arena Dublin on 5 December 2019.

Tickets for this extra date go on sale this Thursday 30 May from all usual outlets.

Fan Club Pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 9am Tuesday 28 May, for all you Rod Stewart official Fan Club members out there. There’s gotta be at least one of you reading this.
