In recent weeks, rapper Ja Rule has been clarifying his involvement with Fyre as the festival's co-founder has attempted to put a degree of space between himself and chief 'organiser' Billy McFarland.
The rapper said that "I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!!!" but as you can see by this footage from a recent gig in New Jersey, he's acutely aware of how the public perceives him.
In recent days, Ja Rule has also announced plans for a new business venture.

As you can see in the footage below, Ja Rule can be seen onstage holding his middle finger to the crowd.
“I want y’all to repeat after me. Get it out of your f**king system cause we ain’t gonna do this s**t for the rest of the year!” he says, referring to the Fyre Festival.
“So get your motherf**king middle fingers up. Let me hear you say ‘F**k you Ja Rule!” he said.
