JOE is hitting the road for the Le Crunch Apple of my Eye Song contest!
So we know we’ve already invited you to send in your online entries for the competition but we’ve decided to shake things up by adding live auditions into the mix. Think X-Factor but without the soullessness… and it’s in Whelan’s which is way cooler than anything Simon Cowell has to offer.
The auditions will be held over the course of a whole day in Whelan’s on Monday, 5 February. If you’re the type of performer who works better in a live setting then this is obviously going to suit you down to the ground. It’s a great opportunity to impress the judges face to face and be in with an extra chance to secure a coveted place in the final on 14 March.
To qualify for the Whelan’s auditions on 5 February, simply fill out the below form and send us a recording of you covering your favourite song. Simples. You must be available to attend the auditions during the day of 5 February.
The overall winner of the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest will get a whopping €1500 and four runners-up will each get €250. All five finalists will get to perform in front of a full house in Whelan’s on Wednesday, 14 March, with the judges choosing the winner on the night.
