27-year-old woman dies after tragic incident at Meath train station

Tragic news.

A 27-year-old woman has died, having been struck by a train on the main Dublin-Belfast line on Friday, 12 July.

Gardaí are treating the incident a tragic accident.

The incident occurred at approximately 7.30pm on Friday night at Laytown Train Station, Meath.

Her body has been removed to Navan Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
