Would you or anyone you know be interested?

The extent of the property crisis in Ireland has been well documented in recent years and one of the by-products of spiralling rents and lack of homes on the market has been adults moving back in with their parents.

Currently, almost one in four adults between the ages of 25 and 34 are living at home and it’s not just a phenomenon evident in Dublin – where rents are highest and buying a house can be a particularly tricky process – but all around the country.

If you’re among those with whom that situation strikes a chord – the so-called ‘boomerang generation’ – then you might be interested in taking part in a new series with a working title of ‘This Crowded House’.

The four-part series will explore the realities of being stuck at home – for both the grown-up child and their parents – and provide expert help for contributors to put a plan in place to move out and live independently, whether that involves renting their own place, house-sharing or actually buying a house.

If you wish to apply, you can fill out an application form here, email [email protected] or call (01) 7088162 for more information.
