Applications to be entered into a lottery for dozens of cost rental apartments in Dublin have now opened.
42 two-bedroom apartments are up for grabs, and the greatest part of all - they will only cost €1,685 per month, a big win in today's rental market where the average rent for a one-bedroom Dublin apartment sits at a whopping €2,000.
The apartment comes under the cost rental system meaning prices must be offered at a minimum of 25% lower than the area's comparable private market rent costs.
Delivered and managed by housing body Clúid, the brand new A-rated apartments are located in Exchange Square and are the latest development in the new town of Seven Mills along Dublin 22's Grand Canal.
The town of Seven Mills is growing rapidly, growing a population of over 4,000 people since 2023 when the first residents moved in.
Exchange Square has a lot to offer renters, such as its convenience to Kishoge train station 300 metres away which is served by regular trains to Heuston, Grand Canal Dock, Newbridge, and Portlaoise.
Additionally, there are plans for a Lidl supermarket, biodiversity areas, parks, playgrounds, walkways, cycle paths and 2.4 km of canal frontage all within and around Exchange Square.
Chief Executive Officer of Clúid, Averil Power, commented on the offering: "With rents at least 25% below the market rent, this is a great opportunity for households to enjoy a secure, long-term tenancy in a brand new, high-quality, mixed-tenure development, at the heart of the new town of Seven Mills and close to Dublin city."
Demand for the apartments are expected to be very high, and so anyone wishing to apply is urged to familiarise themselves with the eligibility requirements and to complete their applications as soon as possible.
Applicant documentation must be submitted before 5pm Wednesday, November 18.
For more information and to apply, see the Clúid website.
