Security teams have rushed to inspect aircraft

Two Ryanair flights - one originating from Lisbon and one from Dublin - have been searched following anonymous tips regarding potential bomb threats.

The Dublin plane (FR9611) was escorted by the Italian airforce.

Police bomb disposal experts carried out standard security protocols to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew.

Inspections of the passengers, luggage, and the aircraft yielded negative results, and the alert has since been cleared.

Earlier, four other flights landed at European airports after being targeted by suspected threats

Meanwhile, another LOT Polish Airlines flight from London was diverted to another airport in Poland after authorities received a bomb threat involving the aircraft.

Flight LO286 had been due to land at Warsaw Chopin Airport, but the Boeing 737 MAX 8 was redirected to Warsaw-Modlin after information emerged about a possible explosive device on board.

The plane landed safely and taxied to a designated parking stand, where it remained as security teams began investigating.

Warsaw-Modlin Airport was closed until further notice while authorities assessed the threat and carried out security checks.

Bomb disposal experts reportedly inspected the aircraft and passengers’ luggage after the jet touched down. There were 181 people on board.

LOT Polish Airlines said it had been notified of the potential security concern by airport authorities.

In a statement, the carrier confirmed the diversion and said the response was being handled under established procedures.

“The aircraft was diverted to Warsaw Modlin Airport, where it landed and subsequently taxied to a designated parking stand,” the airline said.

“Relevant authorities are assessing the situation in accordance with established security procedures.”
