Shocking news…

At least 50 people were killed and 94 others wounded when a suspected suicide bomber detonated a device at a wedding in Gaziantep, Turkey.

The bomber approached a group of people dancing in the street at a wedding party and detonated the device.

The country’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has said that the attack was likely organised by Islamic State militants (ISIS).

In a statement released by the governors office, they confirmed that 50 people had died in the blast and the wounded were still being treated in hospitals in the area.

According to reports, the explosion could be heard in many parts of the city and some have said the aim of the attack was to inflame sectarian violence inside Turkey.

The attack comes just weeks after the country was left reeling from a failed coup attempt. The government have blamed US-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gülen and his followers for the coup.
