A body of a man in his 40s has been discovered in Cork.
Gardaí are investigating all circumstances after the body was found at Rockview Terrace in Mallow in the early hours of this morning Sunday, October 12.
The body currently remains at the scene where the assistant State Pathologist, Dr Margot Bolster, has been contacted to attend.
In a statement, Gardaí said they were 'investigating all of the circumstances' around the discovery.
"A senior investigating officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Mallow Garda Station. A family liaison officer (FLO) has also been assigned to provide support to the family," they added.
Furthermore, the Garda Technical Bureau has been requested to attend the scene.
They added: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them and are seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the vicinity of Doneraile village, Mallow, Co. Cork this morning from 12 midnight to 2am Sunday 12th October, 2025."
