Take note.

Last week, a number of water bottles were recalled by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI), as they were found to have arsenic above normal levels.

On Friday 2 August, far more water bottles were recalled by the FSAI for the same reason.

The types of water bottles included in the recall are as follows: Aldi/ Comeragh (Still and Sparkling), Applegreen (Still), Broderick (Still), Dunnes Stores (Still and Sparkling and Flavoured), Itica (Still), Lidl (Still), Londis (Still), Mace (Still), Macari (Still), Plane (Still), San Marino (Still) and Spar (Still).

Consumers are advised not to drink the implicated batches of water.

If you have consumed any of the affected batches and feel unwell, you are being urged to contact your GP.

The FSAI have also said that point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores supplied with the implicated batches.

More information on the recall can be found on the FSAI website here.
