We have some brilliant news, this week is going to be an absolute cracker

We could be looking at 20 degree temperatures.

Following a mixed bag over the Bank Holiday weekend which featured wind, rain and one of the best days of the year on Monday, we look set to have a cracking week of weather in Ireland.

The week is promised warm and dry with temperatures reaching a high of 20 degrees in some places.

According to Met Éireann, Tuesday will start out rather overcast, but this will clear in many places giving way to clear, dry weather with maximum temperatures of 17-20 degrees. Although it will remain cloudy in some southern regions.

However, Tuesday night will be cool with temperatures falling to between two and five degrees with mist and fog in places.

But the rest of the week will be in a similar vein with temperatures forecast for 13-17 degrees on Wednesday with clear, dry weather.

Thursday and Friday are set to be dry with the warmest temperatures occurring in the west of the country, with a moderate east to northeast wind keeping the rest of the country slightly cooler.

The outlook for the weekend looks similarly positive with dry weather promised. Temperatures will be in the high teens on Saturday but will reach the low 20s on Sunday.

It looks like ice-cream sales are going to increase sharply this week.
