Lazy stereotypes involving Cavan people and money won’t be repeated here…

If you did the Lotto in the town of Cootehill in Cavan over the weekend then you should be furiously searching for your ticket right about now.

On Thursday morning, the National Lottery revealed that the winning ticket for the jackpot win on Wednesday, 5 July, was purchased in Argue’s Londis Store in Cootehill on Sunday, 2 July.

The winning numbers, incidentally, were 7, 16, 18, 20, 24, 37 and the bonus number was 13, so if you happen to be the incredibly lucky person that drew them in a Quick Pick selection, sign the back of your ticket immediately and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims Team on 01 836 4444.

This is the sixth Lotto jackpot win so far in 2017, with jackpot prizes alone exceeding €38 million.

Owner of the winning Londis Store in Cootehill, Co. Cavan, Jim Argue said: “The whole town is absolutely buzzing this morning, there’s great excitement locally as people wake up to news that there’s been a huge Lotto win in the town.

“The store is on a busy road and we do get a lot of passing trade so we don’t know if it was sold to someone locally or someone passing through but best wishes to whoever won it.”

It could be you…
