Charlie Bird has shared a health update with his supportive followers.
The veteran journalist admitted that he is struggling with uncontrollable crying, which is a symptom of his motor neurone disease (MND).
The RTÉ broadcaster was diagnosed with the condition in 2021.
In his latest social media post, he told his followers that he is struggling, but that he will not "give in".
Writing on Twitter, he stated: "I can’t hide anymore where ever I am in my journey.

"I am not going to give in. I am going to keep fighting to extend the hand of friendship to people in dark places.
"But crying nonstop is so awful. A big hug for all the support."
Earlier this month, the broadcaster shared some hopeful news with his followers.
