We always enjoy a cleverly named horse, but the race name for the 6.30 at Newton Abbot today is easily one of the best we have ever heard.
Race owners often show a good sense of humour when it comes to the naming of their horse, but the meet this evening isn’t exactly a celebration of marriage. Far from it in fact.

For what it’s worth, the winner will pocket £2,464 with 18 horses going to post. Green Lightning is the favourite at 11/4, though considering it is the Dave Chillery Divorce Celebration Selling Handicap Hurdle, we think lumping a few quid on Jewellery at 9/1 is both apt and shrewd.
