Praise for Claudia Scanlon following moving Late Late Show appearance
"I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy"
Claudia Scanlon has been praised following her moving Late Late Show appearance, where the 19-year-old spoke about living with the skin condition epidermolysis bullosa during her interview.
The rare condition causes the skin to blister and makes it extremely fragile. According to DEBRA Ireland, EB is a genetic skin blistering condition. Babies born with EB have skin that can blister at the slightest touch. Unfortunately, there is currently no treatment or cure.
Claudia appeared on the show alongside rugby player and DEBRA Ireland supporter Johnny Sexton. Speaking about her condition, she told viewers that it is one of the worst conditions to have and explained that her condition affects her externally, as well as internally.
"It affects every aspect of my life. It's one of the worst conditions, I know I'm biased, that I think is out there.
"I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy," Claudia said.
"It's a living hell and that's the only way I can describe it," she shared.
Claudia continued, "No one can go through this and not be affected by it. I don't want to sit in the corner and cry about it"
