The cocaine was seized on Wednesday evening.
A man in his 30s has been arrested by Gardaí following the seizure of cocaine with an estimated street value of €60,000 – analysis pending – in Carlow Town.
The drugs were discovered during the search of a house on Wednesday evening by members from the Kilkenny/Carlow Divisional Drugs Unit.
That unit was supported by members from Carlow Garda Station during the operation.
The man is currently being held at Carlow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
