It'll be "Culchies" vs. "Dubs" in a classic tale of rivalry on the dance floor
The day we've all been preparing for has finally arrived: Coppers is getting a musical in its honour, something that is long overdue we're sure you'll agree.
According to what Ken Sweeney of The Irish Sun told Newstalk this morning, the plot will be a sort of West Side Story set in one of the most famous nightclub in Ireland, with a bit of rivalry going on between the "Culchies" and the "Dubs".
Paul Howard who worked on the Anglo musical and of Ross O'Carroll Kelly fame is rumoured to be doing the script, so we can expect plenty of laughs in there and something that's not going to take itself too seriously. We'll be first in the queue when tickets go on sale.
