Fair play to them.
When you think of the fire brigade, you picture them rushing to serious incidents and putting out fires before anyone can get hurt.
Failing that, you might picture them getting an old lady’s cat out of a tree like they do in the movies.
But we reckon that when you think about the role of the fire brigade, you would assume that rescuing a dolphin is probably out of their jurisdiction.
Well, apparently not.
On Sunday night, the Cork City Fire Brigade rescued a distressed dolphin that had been trapped by a number of branches.
Have a look for yourself.
No such thing as an ordinary day in this job!

Fair play to them. They even have a little celebration when the dolphin swims off safely.
The crew from Anglesea Street responded to the incident in the River Lee.
Cork City Fire Brigade posted the video to their official Twitter account, accompanied by the hashtag #notjustfires.
‘Not just fires’ is right…
