Staff at Abtran in Cork back in work after incident which injured two employees

The ambulance service was called and attended the scene with the Fire Brigade.

An incident occurred at a call centre in Mahon, Cork which resulted in two members of staff experiencing symptoms of skin irritation.

This incident took place at approximately 11.30am two staff members in Abtran call centre.

The ambulance service was called and attended together with the Fire Brigade.

Abtran released a statement explaining that staff had been asked to leave the office “as a precautionary measure”.

“In the interests of the safety of all staff, Abtran immediately asked all staff to leave the premises until the cause of this matter can be properly identified,” the company said in a statement.

An investigation by Abtran, resulted in the warning being stood down and operations in the company have returned to normal.

“Please note this matter has been stood down,” the company said. “Operations are resuming as normal. All staff are returning to the building. The emergency services are departing. Nothing suspect has been found.
