Dissident republican group claims they are 3D printing guns

Dissident republican group Óglaigh na hÉireann (ÓNH) claims it has developed a 3D-printed version of the Glock pistol.

McCarthy, a former republican prisoner passed away at his home in Ardoyne, Belfast last week.

Homemade versions of the gun were put on display during the wake.

Other images from the wake show a masked man holding an AK47.

McCarthy was buried on Monday in a funeral organised by Glór na hÓglaigh (Voice of the Volunteers), which describes itself as a “revolutionary republican party that’s for a 32-county socialist republic. The struggle in the 32 county's is as relevant today as it has ever been we Glór na hÓglaigh carry on the the values of Theobald Wolf (sic) Tone, Bobby sands and James connolly."

The republican paramilitary group claimed responsibility for shooting a man in north Belfast in February this year.

In a statement, Óglaigh na hÉireann (ÓNH) claimed it was responsible for shooting the victim once in each leg in the Strathroy Park area of Ardoyne at around 8pm on Tuesday.

It is understood the victim, aged in his 30s, was held by the paramilitary group for a time before he was shot. He survived his injuries.
