They’re hiring 1,000 people on the island of Ireland to cope with the demand.

Domino’s Pizza are set to fill 1,000 new full-time positions in Ireland to cope with the demand during the upcoming European Championships and Olympic Games.

According to Newstalk, the company insists that any new jobs will be permanent and not just for the summer. People do love pizza all year round, after all.

Chief executive David Wild expects to serve “over seven million pizzas during the Euros alone”.

If you break that down, the chain will be orders for approximately 160 pizzas EVERY MINUTE, which breaks down to approximately two pizzas and six slices every second.

Domino’s are opening 65 new stores in the UK and Ireland before the end of 2016; they will be adding 10,000 staff members in total.
