Tactless.
We’ve come to expect a lack of class from businessman-turned-Presidential hopeful Donald Trump, but this takes the cake.
Trump tweeted an extremely ill-advised message on Twitter this morning that many believe belittles the solemnity and seriousness of September 11.
Back in 2013, Trump tweeted this grossly insensitive message on the anniversary of 9/11. Though he deleted it, his auto-retweet feature has kept the tweet alive.
“@realDonaldTrump: I would like to extend my best wishes to all, even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th.”

The retweet, which is likely to be deleted soon, reads “I would like to extend my best wishes to all, even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th.”
If referring to a day of enormous a tragedy as a ‘special date’ could be forgiven as a mistake, to conflate the importance of September 11 with a dig at your ‘haters’ seems deeply insensitive.
Trump has spent the rest of the day largely tweeting about polls and politics, but probably realised his mistake, as he posted this revised tweet on the topic later in the day.
Let’s all take a moment to remember all of the heroes from a very tragic day that we cannot let happen again!

It is hard to imagine someone less presidential.
