Dublin Fire Brigade respond to a number incidents on Halloween night

These incidents include a car being driven on to a bonfire, and two derelict houses being set on fire.

In 2018, Dublin’s Fire Brigade received over 1,000 calls on Halloween night in the capital city alone.

Despite people being educated and informed about the danger of fires throughout the year, 31 October will remain a dangerous night for fire safety officials.

The Fire Brigade released a statement earlier in the week urging people to stay safe, on what is by far and away their busiest night of the year.

They said: “We’re reminding everybody that we want everyone to have fun this Halloween but our crews do have to extinguish fires if they’re proving dangerous.”

And as you could probably guess, they have had quite the eventful evening…
