The issue appears to be affecting most of the country.

Eir customers around the country have been left without broadband after a nationwide outage.

The website downdetector showed that Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway appeared to be experiencing it the worst.

In a statement posted to their official Twitter page, Eir said: “We are aware of a widespread DNS outage which is impacting some customers on both our fixed and mobile networks. Our engineers are working to correct.”

They also stated that they had no exact time that they believed the issue would be resolved, saying: “There is no timeframe for restoration. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.”

This image, which can be accessed at downdetector, highlights the places who are experiencing the most trouble.
