Euromillions

It’s not the jackpot but it’s not bad.

Euromillions players in Cork have been urged to check their tickets after Tuesday night’s Euromillions draw produced yet another Irish winner.

After Friday’s €28.9 million jackpot was claimed via a winning ticket purchased in Castlebar in Mayo, a Euromillions player in Cork scooped €369,210 on a Match 5 + Lucky Star in Tuesday night’s draw and was just one Lucky Star away from hitting the €17 million jackpot.

The winning advance play Quick Pick ticket was sold on Friday, 7 July at Foley’s Foodstore in Ballydaheen in Mallow.

Store owner of Foley’s Foodstore, Elaine Foley said: “We are absolutely delighted for our customers. We believe that it is a local work syndicate that won the huge prize and everybody in the town is chuffed for them and we wish them the best of luck.

“We are a small independent shop surrounded by big stores and we have been punching above our weight with big Lottery wins recently. A couple of weeks ago, we sold a winning Bingo Times 10 scratch card worth €50,000, so we’re proving to be a very lucky shop for our customers.”

The winning Euromillions numbers from Tuesday, 11 July are: 14, 22, 26, 42, 50 and the Lucky Stars are 8 and 10.

The National Lottery advises players to check their tickets and if you happen to be the lucky ticketholder, then you should sign the back of the ticket and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims Team on 01 836 4444.

And then you can come and buy us a steak dinner. You can well afford it.
