Ever wanted to do the traffic for AA Roadwatch? Then we have good news

JOE

If you have a long held ambition is to talk about delays at the Dunkettle interchange for cash money, then this is your lucky day.

Traffic; the pimple on the arse of urban living, requires a team of committed roadwatchers to keep the rest of us informed of what’s going on. AA Roadwatch are the folks who do that task here and they are looking for a new recruit to ensure that the motorists of Ireland are kept up to speed on where the traffic is anything but speedy.

They’re looking for a part-time researcher/broadcaster to work 20 hours a week in Dublin city centre. The hours are, as you might guess, focused on rush hour but hey, if you love traffic, they’re your favourite times of the day anyway.

As well as flexing your dulcet tones across the nation on radio bulletins, the person will also be required to deal with enquiries from the public, and deal with media queries too.

They also advise us that: Applicants must have excellent research skills, data-entry experience, an excellent phone manner and communication skills. They will also need an excellent broadcasting voice, be familiar with social media and have a willingness to partake in online campaigns. Training or experience in journalism is an advantage.

Simples, eh? So, to be in with a shout send a CV and a 60 second demo of a mock traffic report by e-mail to [email protected]

Closing date for applications is Monday Augth at 5pm so get cracking…
