Father and son seriously injured when a helicopter crashed into a garden in Louth

Two men have been seriously injured as a result of a helicopter crashing into the garden of a home in County Louth.

The aircraft came down in a garden near Carlingford.

The two men – one in his 70s and the other in his 40s – are reported to be father and son.

It is believed both men have now been rescued from the downed vehicle, with one of the men brought to Beaumount Hospital in Dublin, and the other Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
