Footage at the scene showed a strong Garda presence.

Five people, including one juvenile, have been arrested following a serious public order incident at the Red Cow Hotel in the early hours of Thursday morning.

A music event was taking place at the venue when a number of altercations broke out among some of the attendees, which Gardaí say prompted staff to close the venue.

Gardaí were called to the scene and said they observed a large crowd of people inside the venue and in the car park.

Additional Garda resources were requested at the scene when people began exiting via the Naas Road, which was causing a traffic hazard.

Footage captured by onlookers shows several Garda vehicles and a significant Garda presence at the scene.

Five people were arrested at the scene for public order offences. One man has been charged in relation to the incident and a female juvenile is subject to a youth referral.

The three other individuals are subject to further investigation.

No injuries or incidents of criminal damage have been reported and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
