Four injured after light aircraft crash in Wexford

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.

Four people have been injured after a light aircraft crash in Wexford on Wednesday (23 September).

Gardaí and Emergency Services attended the scene of the crash that occurred at approximately 5.20pm at Carnsore Point.

There was four occupants of the aircraft – two males, aged in their 20s and 50s, and two females, both aged in their 30s.

They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The scene is currently preserved and the Air Accident Investigation Unit and the Irish Aviation Authority have been notified about the incident.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway, Gardaí said.
