The Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116 was also called to the scene.

Two girls were rescued by Wicklow RNLI Lifeboat on Sunday after they were pulled out to sea by the tide. It's understood the pair were using an inflatable toy off the coast of Silver Strand beach when they came into difficulty. Two men managed to help them to the rocks further down the beach where the four were then subsequently rescued by the RNLI. The Dublin-based Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116 was also called to the scene. It's understood the two girls were transferred to CHI at Temple Street in Dublin while the men did not require medical treatment.
