A new Disney+ documentary has shown the full extent of the injuries that Freddie Flintoff suffered from his crash while filming Top Gear.

Flintoff was the victim of a horror crash while filming the show in 2022, which was cancelled following the accident.

A three-wheeled Morgan supercar overturned and trapped Flintoff underneath, dragging him face down around 150ft along the tarmac of Dunsfold Aerodrome.

He suffered lacerations to his nose, cheek, lips and chin.

In a new documentary releasing today titled ‘Flintoff’, graphic images taken of Flintoff immediately after the crash are shared.

Some viewers of the doc may find the images disturbing, which show the full impact of the crash on Flintoff’s face.

The large cut across his face required a skin graft and his front teeth were replaced after they had been smashed to pieces from the impact.

He has endured several surgeries, as his face was “soldered” back together using plasma and injections.

Speaking in the documentary, the former Ashes winner said: “But it’ll never give me what I had back.

“I wasn’t happy with it then but now I realise it wasn’t too bad, was it?

“You just want people to be honest half the time — to say yeah, it is a f***ing mess, isn’t it?

“I have moments where I forget, I’m just living, and it’s so nice.

“And then you just get a stark reminder, I get a feeling on my face because it’s all tight and it’s different, I’ve got no teeth, or something will fall out of my mouth when I’m eating.

“Or I just look in the mirror and it all comes back.

“You say your face is your identity, but how many times do we hear, like, people say it’s what’s inside that counts, it’s not how you look … b******s! You know what I mean?”
