The free bike lights will be handed out as part of a new safety campaign.

Independent voluntary group Dublin Cycling will take to the streets of Dublin this week to hand out free spare bike lights to cyclists.

As the nights get darker (it’s almost pitch-black at 5pm these days), it’s important that cyclists are as visible as possible, and Dublin Cycling will be doing everything in their power to help.

They shared a video on their Twitter page announcing that they will be out on the streets, as part of their new #LightUpYourBike campaign.
