Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to two separate fatal road collisions on Monday morning

One incident occurred in Dublin, and the second in Louth.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to two separate fatal road collisions in Ireland, both of which occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.

Gardaí in Carlingford in Louth are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R173, Carlingford at approximately 12.35am on the morning of Monday 18 March.

Two males (age currently unknown) were pronounced dead at the scene following the single car collision.

No other persons were injured.

Both deceased males have been removed to Louth County Hospital in Dundalk for post mortem examinations.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.

Gardaí wish to appeal for witnesses to contact Carlingford Garda Station on 042-9373102.

Additionally, Gardaí in Tallaght in Dublin are investigating a single fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Whitestown Way Tallaght, Dublin 24 at approximately 7am on Monday morning.

A male motorcyclist in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision.

The deceased man has been removed to Tallaght Hospital for a post mortem examination.

This stretch of road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
