Arrest made following death of 74-year-old man in Dublin domestic dispute

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the death that took place on Friday night in Clondalkin.

Gardaí in Dublin have made an arrest following the death of a 74-year-old male who was discovered with serious injuries at a house on Friday evening.

It is believed that a domestic dispute had taken place earlier at the house in Rowlagh Green.

The man was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

On Saturday evening, Gardaí arrested a 47-year-old man in connection with the incident.

The arrest was made in Lucan and the man is currently being detained at Lucan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out on Sunday at the City Mortuary by the State Pathologist’s Office.
