Motorists travelling on the M1 and M50 are advised to proceed with caution.
Gardaí in Dublin have issued a traffic alert for motorists following the outbreak of a gorse fire on Friday evening.
The fire broke out along the Oscar Traynor Road in Coolock, and is affecting visibility on the M1 and the M50 near the Port Tunnel.
Dublin Fire Brigade has arrived at the scene, operating two pumps on Coolock Lane and the Oscar Traynor Road, tending to the grass that is ablaze.
Smoke continues to affect surrounding areas, with motorists advised to take caution if travelling along the M1, the M50 or in the nearby vicinity.

As for the weather, dry and warm conditions are expected over the weekend, with temperatures of 22 to 26 degrees on Saturday, and maximum temperatures of 23 to 28 degrees celsius on Sunday, highest in southeastern counties.
