Having your say comes at a substantial price for An Garda Síochána.

As human beings, we constantly crave the approval of other people. It’s just the way we are and whether you’re trying to impress your boss, your girlfriend or your best mate, you want them to like you.

According to the Irish Mirror, the Gardaí are going conducting a survey which will ask members of the public what they think of them.

It comes at a time when confidence in the Gardaí seems to be at a low and the survey will analyse people’s opinions in terms of the Gardaí as an organisation and if the public is satisfied with the way they are battling crime in the country.

They are currently looking for companies to tender for the job of conducting the public-survey which will be done over the course of a year.

It is reported that the year-long survey will cost the Gardaí almost €255,000.

You can find the full report on the survey here.
