Leslie Jones has been a target of racist abuse online since her appearance in this summer’s reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise.
Just last month, Jones was forced off Twitter after a barrage of racist abuse came her way. Horrific though it already was, the abuse took a turn for the worst yesterday when Jones’ personal website was hacked.
The hackers posted what appeared to be nude photos of the actress to the site, as well as personal photos of her alongside other celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Rihanna.
The website also featured photos of Jones’ driver’s license and passport. The website was taken offline after the attack.
Many of Hollywood’s stars expressed sympathy for Jones and utter disgust at the behaviour of the hackers.
What's happening to @Lesdoggg is an absolute outrage. Alt right, haters, trolls, "comedians," whoever the fuck you all are, you're just sad.

I love @Lesdoggg. One of the sweetest, funniest people I have ever met. Don't support these hackers by looking at that private stuff.

I was terrified when I did SNL. Leslie Jones went out of her way to be open, warm, friendly, funny all week. She is a GEM.
