Break out the sun-cream again folks…

While we’ve had weather warning after weather warning for the last few days, there seems to be a small reason to be cheerful when looking ahead at the weather on the horizon.

According to Met Éireann, temperatures are expected to reach as high 22 degrees on Wednesday.

Indeed, temperatures may also hit a toasty 20 degrees on Tuesday as well, although the national forecaster has warned that there’s a potential for showers as well.

Tuesday will be a warm and humid day with some outbreaks of rain in places. Temperatures will range from the high teens into the low 20s.

Wednesday and Thursday look to be mainly dry days with sunny spells and light winds according to Met Éireann.

As for the rest of the weekend, Saturday will bring with it a mix of bright sunny spells and scattered showers.

Some of the showers heavy in northern areas with the risk of thunder, but in other areas the showers will be fewer and lighter with a good deal of dry weather.

Sunday will start out cloudy and misty with patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. Drier and brighter conditions will develop in the afternoon with patchy rain and drizzle, but most of this will be confined to Ulster.
