A bit of good news on a Wednesday morning…

Vodafone is to establish a new European sales centre in Carrickmines, Dublin creating 200 jobs in the process.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny made the announcement at Vodafone Ireland headquarters in Leopardstown this morning revealing that Vodafone are to invest €60 million in the new centre.

The new sales centre called ‘Vodafone Red Edge’, will serve business customers in Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands and will be supported by two other hubs in south and central Europe.

Mr Kenny said that new jobs showed the attractiveness of Ireland’s location and combined with a talented and skilled workforce made Ireland an ideal location for such a headquarters.
