Well, not quite on tap, but you get the picture. ‘Can I have four pints and four Jagerbombs there boss? And you might as well throw on four shots of Gaviscon for the heartburn afterwards.’
As many of you will find out come Sunday, Monday or even Tuesday – hey, we’re not here to judge – a heavy weekend of socialising, drinking and eating not so healthy food can lead to terrible heartburn in the days afterwards.
You might often find yourself saying that you wished you had took time out to take a couple of Rennie tablets or another anti-heartburn alternative as a damage limitation measure at some point over the weekend, but in Melly’s Bar in Ballyshannon in Donegal, you don’t have to worry, they look after all that for you.
Isn’t it great to see a pub looking after its customers like that. It’s a gesture that would warm your heart… not literally, of course.
