Several weather warnings issued for 'heavy rain' and 'very strong winds'

Met Éireann has issued several new weather warnings over "heavy rain" and "very strong winds".
This is as Ireland is set to hit by the tail end of Hurricane Lee, which Weather Alerts Ireland states is expected to "push in on Tuesday, bringing wet and windy conditions".
The biggest of the alerts is a Status Yellow rain warning, which applies to the counties of Clare, Cork, Donegal, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary, as well as the province of Connacht.
Valid from 12 am on Tuesday (19 September) until 6am on Wednesday, it reads:
"Spells of rain will be heavy and persistent at times giving accumulative totals of 30 to 60mm, locally higher on hills.
"The rain will ease off for a time in many parts on Tuesday daytime, before heavy spells of rain return Tuesday evening and night."
Met Éireann lists the potential impacts of the conditions as "localised flooding" and "travel disruption".

'Heavy rain' is on the cards for Ireland.
On top of this, two Status Yellow wind warnings for West Galway and Kerry were issued, with one valid from 12 am to 6 am on Tuesday and the other valid from 5 pm on Tuesday until 3 am on Wednesday.
"South to southwest winds will be very strong and gusty," the alerts state, with the potential impacts of the conditions listed as "chance of falling branches/trees and loose debris blowing around" and "difficult driving conditions".
Also, two other Status Yellow wind warnings have been published for Wednesday.
One applies to Cork, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow and will take effect from 12 am to 7 am.
The other is for Donegal and Mayo between 6 am and 6 pm.
This is as Met Éireann's national forecast for the week states: "A mix of showers and sunshine for the latter half of the week, with some showers turning heavy. Wet and windy at the weekend."
