Irish auctioneers are flogging a burnt-out house in Finglas for €225,000.
An unfortunate sign of the times.
Ray Cooke Auctioneers posted a listing for a house in Finglas, that had severe fire damage, for a guide price of €225,000.
In a video on Instagram, the house was described as a 'property in need of full renovation' with 'huge potential throughout'.
The house was seemingly the victim of an arson attack back in April, which may have been related to gangland activity in the area, according to a Sunday World report from the time.
A video posted by the auctioneers advertising the property has gone viral for how absurd it is.
"'Full renovation', is that what we are calling post petrol bombed gaffs?" asked one Instagram user.
Another said: "I’m impressed you were able to keep a straight face throughout the video man, fair play."
"€225,000 for a burnt out gaf... this is crazy," commented another user.
By the looks of it, the housing crisis seems to be hitting rock bottom.
