Tragic news.
An Irish girl has died two days after an incident at a
hotel swimming pool in Majorca.
Earlier in the week, the Balearic Islands-based newspaper
Última Hora reported that the seven-year-old fell into the pool of the hotel where she and her family were staying just after 3.30pm on Monday (20 June).
The Spanish newspaper also stated that as soon as the girl fell into the water, hotel lifeguards pulled her out and began attempts to resuscitate her.
An ambulance then arrived on the scene and the seven-year-old was transferred to the Son Espases hospital's intensive care unit.
However,
Última Hora now reports that the girl remained in critical condition since Monday before passing away late on Wednesday at the hospital.
