Irish Lotto punter wins over €4.5m jackpot as county of lucky ticket revealed

They have become the first Lotto jackpot winner of 2025.

Becoming the first Lotto jacket winner of 2025, The National Lottery has since confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in Louth.

The winning numbers from last night’s Lotto draw were: 5, 12, 14, 27, 34, 42 and the bonus was 25.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the store location where the winning ticket was purchased will be announced tomorrow (Friday, 31 January).

In a statement, the National Lottery has urged all players in the Louth area to check their tickets carefully.

For the punter holding the winning ticket, they have been told to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of their prize.

The news comes hot on the heels of Tuesday night’s EuroMillions Plus win, where another Louth player snagged the top prize of €500,000.

Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery, said: “What a week it’s been for Co. Louth! Not one, but TWO top prizes sold in the county this week.

"In total, over 63,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including our first Lotto jackpot winner of the year.

"We are beyond thrilled and can’t wait to see the joy this brings to our jackpot winner!”
