Irish Wolfhounds to host talent recruitment and offer Team Ireland spots ahead of 2028 Olympics

As flag football grows in popularity and a pathway for Team Ireland at LA 2028 becomes clear, the Irish Wolfhounds are looking to add elite male and female athletes to their talent pool and to compete for the opportunity to represent Ireland in the European Championships in 2027, where spots at next year's Olympic Games will be available.

Previous flag football experience is not required, just Irish Passport eligibility and being over 18.

The Irish Wolfhounds are holding a Talent ID day in the Sports Ireland Campus indoor arena, from 12.30-6pm on Saturday, December 12.

The Talent ID day is an opportunity to challenge yourself in an Olympic sport and demonstrate how your skills can translate at the elite level.

National team staff will evaluate based on athletic ability, skill-based drills, and competitive scenarios. 

Spaces are limited, and you must be registered in order to compete at the event and must do so no less than one week prior.
