Ivan Yates is back.

The return of Ivan Yates is amongst a number of changes to Newstalk’s weekend schedule, changes will come into effect from next month onwards.

The radio station announced a number of new shows on the airwaves on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with Bobby Kerr and Ivan Yates set to present new shows on Sunday mornings; Kerr will continue to present his regular Down to Business programme on Saturdays.

Speaking about the new look for weekends at Newstalk, Tim Collins, CEO of Newstalk 106-108fm, said: “We’re really excited about this new look for weekends at Newstalk. Ivan’s return is a key part of the new schedule and we also have an entertaining new magazine-style show from Bobby Kerr on Sunday mornings, which will be completely different to his well-known Down to Business programme.

“Dr. Ciara Kelly will be bringing her show, Alive and Kicking, to a new slot at 9am on Saturday morning while Talking Point with Sarah Carey will take over the 8am slot. Weekends on Newstalk will continue to set the agenda with the best guests and cutting edge opinion and analysis while Off the Ball will continue to deliver Ireland’s best sports programme every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.”
