Some tasty roles on the menu…

Online food order and delivery service Just Eat will create 160 new jobs in Ireland as the company expands its operations.

The roles, which will primarily be based at a new office space in Dublin, include jobs in customer service, sales, office management, and facilities.

Just Eat’s new two-floor, 25,000 square foot office space will be located in Ballsbridge and is expected to open in February of 2022, with employees returning to the workplace on a phased basis in line with the latest Covid-19 restrictions.

The 160 new positions represent “exceptionally strong growth” over the past two years, with the company experiencing notable demand during the pandemic.

“I know how much many people relied on takeaway services during the pandemic and the fantastic work many delivery drivers and riders did during that time,” said Tánaiste Leo Varadkar on Friday, 5 November.

“It’s encouraging to see the sector continuing to thrive and grow and I wish the company the best with this new investment.”

Just Eat is also recruiting a number of couriers in locations across the country over the coming weeks.
